six new units in ‘air-space’ development

Working for Albany Homes we have sought to maximise the development opportunity at this site originally built in the 80’s.

In 2019 we managed to gain planning permission for a mix of 6 new flats above this existing block. Works to start on site mid 2020.

We had previously converted semi-basement (former car parking) areas overlooking the canal into two one-bed flats, developed for sale. This conversion included the relandscaping of the terrace above for the residents, including raised-bed local vegetable growing.

We are also looking into an expanded scheme for 2 extra stories taking advantage of the new ‘permitted development’ allowance.
